Vita

Since April 2024, I am a researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Legal Theory Frankfurt am Main, Germany. I was a visiting researcher in the Faculty of Sociology at the University of Hamburg (March 2022 – August 2023) and at the Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Legal Theory (October 2023 – March 2024). In 2023, I completed my PhD in Philosophy of Law and General Theory of Law, University of São Paulo, Brazil, entitled ‘Law as text and system: historicity and significance of contemporary legal interpretation’. From August 2020 to March 2024, I worked at the University of Luxembourg as a research assistant in the Department of Philosophy of Law. From 2019 to 2020, I taught legal theory and legal history to undergraduate students at the University Anhembi Morumbi in São Paulo. From 2017 to 2018, I taught legal theory and legal history to undergraduate students at a law school in the countryside of Brazil’s savannah. My interest in textuality, media theory and cultural techniques arose out of my interactions with the students there. Though not formal literate, they were nevertheless enrolled in the programme and had a great affinity with the ancient Greeks due to their shared love of cockfighting.
