Resistiendo el control de la monarquía. Crimen y corrupción en las fronteras del imperio español. Chile, 1670-1690

La presentación tiene por finalidad discutir y analizar los mecanismos de control de la corrupción de la monarquía española en un territorio fronterizo como Chile a fines del siglo XVII. A partir de diferentes casos de estudio pretendemos analizar como los habitantes de dicho territorio afrontaron las visitas de las cajas reales de Chile, ya fuese por la vía de la negociación o la resistencia. Analizaremos las diferentes formas de resistencia, profundizando la particularidad que tuvieron los crímenes dentro del contexto de una visita.

The purpose of this presentation is to discuss and analyze the mechanisms of control of corruption of the Spanish monarchy in a frontier territory such as Chile at the end of the 17th century. From different case studies, we intend to analyze how the inhabitants of this territory faced the visits of the cajas reales of Chile, either by negotiation or resistance. We will analyze the different forms of resistance, with a special focus on the particularity that the crimes had within the contexts of a visit.
